I will watch just to see Herbert play. It will be another loss. Please tank so we have some draft picks!

Jags is a W
seriously doubt even we can choke that one away
Herbert is getting better weekly
we get a few guys back Turner and Bulaga
it’ll be nice to get JHs first W and first W at “home”
how devastating would it be to known as the team with the elite ROY QB who can’t win a game!
even the Herbert awe won’t comfort me for too long of a losing streak
I think I need this win badG-Ro knows.

Our schemes, especially on Offensive, are working. We simply need our injured talent to get on the field. My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List

I guess we’re going into the world of trying to account for how much injuries impacting the game, which is always difficult to do in an objective way.
I think if we’re losing mostly because of injuries to starting talent, the game would look much different.
it would look more like Bengals game, maybe the panthers game
not the two big blown leads
if anything I think it means the opposite, our backups are closer to starting talent to be able to execute for a half against mostly other starters
how are fresh legs relevant? Both teams start with the same amount of active guys, starter talent or not, so that can’t be a significant factor.
backups don’t get fatigued faster than starters right?G-Ro knows.

I can see a scenario where opposing coaches go into our game with a conservative game plan knowing we’re starting backup talent
to see if they can compete without much risk
then our guys end up flourishing until they decide to become more aggressive
well see, I read today we have the easiest schedule left in the NFL so I’m rooting for A playoff gameG-Ro knows.

Our #2 that are starting now are taking far more snaps than they would as #2s and the #3s that are rotating in are #3s.
Talent drop off is the major issue but these guys that had limited to no snaps aren’t in football game condition as if they’ve been playing starter snaps.
Its a vicious cycle.
Does it excuse everything that happens on the field? No, but it is a significant factor.
Who doesn’t think that if Turner/Bulaga we’re playing/healthy that the Oline performance would be drastically improved?
Same with SupaMel/JJones on the Dline, etc.....My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List

To expand, I would argue that Derwin James alone would have us at 4-1, if not undefeated...he is that much of a factor covering, tackling, and blitzing...as well as being the on field leader of that secondary. The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...
Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB, Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

I haven't had time to review the Saints game yet - hopefully this afternoon. But, as I think over the game I see how useless our running game was and how often our QB was hurried and it makes me think if we had a healthy Turner and Bulaga we would have won that game hands down. Even if only Turner could have played it would have made a big difference because Groy was terrible.
On defense I thought the occasional blitz was a good change and I thought they did a good job of rotating the DL. I still wish Gus would use the regular D alignments in the last two minutes of both halfs. I really believe the D he's using in those situations are causing the cave in.
Special teams are poor and I can't even imagine why we still have the same ST coach. He does seem like a real nice guy and I guess that must be why he's still here but we see ST blunders every single week. This years team doesn't seem to have a top notch gunner. Where is Osgood?THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

I think that beyond the James injury that everyone laments over, the biggest injury for us the season was actually Dru Tranquill. The kid was poised for a breakout year and was finally going to put all of those Telasco/Notre Dame comments to bed.
His loss just gashed our D IMHO.
