Chargers resemble the Broncos this season in that opposing teams have only to wait and watch as they beat themselves. The team that's tired of losing will win. Could be the Jets. If the Jets should win, it'll be proof positive that the players were never that motivated by Lynn's coaching style and played primarily for their pay checks instead of reaching the playoffs. Any less than a 10 point win will mean the same.

I guess I will just hope for a win for the Bolts and if we can cover the spread maybe it will give a boost of confidence to some of the players."You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." --Frank Zappa

If we hadn't had the leagues worst ST for the past decade ( not to mention an O with an incredibly high TO rate) a lot of the one score losses would have been W's. Hey, but it is what it is......crappy football.

I did the latter after the Denver game. Now, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the S.S. Spanos sink.

Our defense is just like SEA and ATL before they fired their coach...... we cannot stop anyone.....the 3 teams used the same system on defense, until ATL fired their coach-now ATL is aggressive on defense and they are actually stopping opponents from scoring 30+ points per game like they were...... Chargers need to fire Gus ASAP so our players can start to learn a new aggressive defense so they will be ready for next year.......
We beat CIN only because of a lucky penalty that took away the winning score...... We only beat JAX because we scored 39 points and had a 2 score lead in the final minutes, if that had been a one-score game Jax would have marched down and scored the winning points...... If the jet game is a one-score game, the Chargers will likely lose..... Jets almost beat NE which is a better team with much better coaching than Chargers except at QB.....
Lynn is so old school that he would be still playing Taylor if not for that injury and Herbert playing 10x better than Taylor has ever done. He is obsessed with running the ball even though the Chargers are not built for it and have very below-average RB's after Ekler who is out..... Despite the loss, running for 200+ yards against a bad raiders defense, has given Lynn renewed belief that his old school ideas will work against other teams..... we ran to the point of stupidity against MIA with little success..... MIA could have scored many more points if they had needed to or wanted to, but they were happy to just hang onto the lead and let their defense dominate our conservative offense......
Lynn is likely to use the same stupid game plan against what has been perceived as a bad Jet team, which will keep the total points low and the score close enough that either team can win and the loser will be the one who makes one more blunder than the other team...... and badly coached teams tend to make more blunders than well-coached teams..... if we lose to Jets, we may not win another game..... certainly will not be favored..... just hope Herbert does not get hurt on this horribly coached team......whenever out LT is getting beat like he isn't there, Lynn does not give him help...like a TE to help double team the DE???? instead he forces Herbert to run for his life..... or just hand off.....
Lynn won't blame the coaches for our team making so many blunders every week for the last several years...... in his pressers, he always blames the players, not the coaches.... which is not good..... bellycheat never blames the players even if it was their fault.....he keeps that in house.....

I buy that everyone is looking out for themselves because they all believe the season is lost, and they’re right.
the ones who don’t are a small percentage of fans who have that luxury because they have nothing to lose.
players, coaches and front office execs live off narrative and reputation. Everyone wants to blame someone else. It’s not personal, it’s business.
this isn’t just a lost season, these aren’t just loses, these are historically dreadful losses that have become career cooties that no one wants to own.
this may not have been Lynns mess, but his job is to fix it, he hasn’t been able to. Not for lack of trying imo
Thanks for trying, time to give someone else this monumental task and ask them to perform a miracleChargers vs. Everyone
