IDK, LeFluer hiring seems to have worked out in GB, and he was the OC before Smith.

And also... Smith turned Ryan Tannehill into a good quarterback.

I'm not saying he's who I want. (he's not) But I won't freak out about it.

Green Bay is a different organization than the Chargers.

I only relate these facts to the Chargers.

I have looked at the resumes of Arthur Smith, Joe Brady and Brian Daboll - -one of those three has a long more experienced resume. Thats my idea for not wanting a relatively inexperienced coach. More experiencing coaching in general should be better prepared for the job of Head Coach. Trotters article had quotes from first timers who were fired and hiring a person with more experience, maybe those can be mitigated.

I get its just an interview but my theory its the history of the team why I would not like this hire. Its not opinion - its data.

My preference on Arthur Smith being in my Top is based on data. It is based on the fact, Arthur Smith's education is better than any other candidate. Smith went to a better prep school than Daboll.

I saw that from Trotter and since he has close connections with the Chargers - -I was relieved to see the reasons he gave about the firing. Not just Clock/Game Mgmt issues but loyalty to the staff. George Stewart barely had business getting a third year let alone the fourth year

I mean, we fans sit here and b**ch/moan/cheer but came up with theories - -and it seems, the Chargers noticed the same things!!

The 10-12 candidates - thats a big list so why not. Dean being involved - not sure about that but maybe he will feel compelled to "spread the search" in terms of the budget - higher the budget.

When you look at the tweet from Tannenbaum, combined with the roster, young QB, players under contract - its a damn good job opening. I can see why coaches would want the job. The Chargers with tweaks to the OL and new ST are ready to win

The third part of the Trotter tweet - "CEO" and overseeing the entire team while developing Herbert - I like that too.
