The bad coaching part comes from not releasing Badgley 7 weeks ago.... This is in his head and the coach needed to bring in a new kicker. Lynn's unwillingness to make a tough change is what makes him a horrible coach.

He brought 2 kickers (and a punter) in a couple of weeks ago. The coaching staff decided to stick with Badgley.

I honestly, don't think the 'icing the kicker' was that big of a deal. 1st of all, it was smart to run the clock down as far as you could, then call timeout.

"Icing the kicker" is when the lineup, and are about to snap it, and you call the timeout.

But... the playcall before that? That was 100% on the staff. You know they are bringing the house to stop the run (3rd and 2 and we haven't passed the whole drive).

So call a slow developing play action roll out, right into the blitz. (someone on twitter was claiming it was a run play for Justin too... a bootleg run. I thought it was a pass play.)

Jesus, a normal run Ekeler into the middle for a 1 yard loss is a better play.

You saw what happened at the end of the first half, and the start of the 2nd half when you let the kid play. What the heck?

AL is too timid. And Steichen, although he has done some good things... Justin makes him look better than he is.

You really think Lynn has no input on his team? I suppose you don't think he was able to "reassign" Stewart without someone else telling him to either? He is the HEAD coach, he has input, but he refuses to make tough choices until it's too late, just like his piss poor clock management, then blames other people.. Which is a rotten form of leadership..... Just my opinion

I never read so much bitching in a game that we won! Some of you seem more like fans of another team that just dropped by to harass the Charger fans, for instance I could name some people that didn't post anything positive all night! What the hell kind of a fan does that?

Let's look at the good from tonight's game -

We found out that Guyton and Johnson are turning into pretty good WR's
The pass blocking held up all night long
All the bitching about clock management, did anyone notice our terrible clock manager got it right at the end of the first half and the correct use of time outs led to a TD as time ran out on the half.
Aside from the missed FG's our ST play was good

and ...... we have a franchise QB!

They pulled off a win with our #1&#2 WR's missing in action.

Quit hating and give these guys some credit!

Right. The guy Telesco brought in was a local guy from UCLA.
JJ Molson. Who made 51/74 for 68.9 percent of his kick in college.
Worse than Badgely. Who was a 79 percent in college.
So Lynn kept Badger.

For what it's worth Justin Tucker was 83% in college.

Why bring in Molson?! 68.9%

At least pick a guy who made 80% in college. Good grief.

I didn't participate in the game thread but it is nice to see Johnson and Guyton play well. I don't think I've seen Johnson drop a pass as of yet unless I missed one last night.

Always nice to beat the Raiders and it hurts our draft position a little but not much.

Still see coaching blunders and still think we need a new OC if Lynn stays or not.
