So the NFL is saying "give the Chargers downtown or LA here we come".

You listening Manchester? Thanks a lot, asshole.

I believe financing is much more important than location.

That's why the chargers haven't moved yet to LA.

        No available public assistance.

If they can make more money here by paying back the bridge loan interest free then that beats the hell out of forking over tens of millions of dollars a year to sachs.

The money here is greater than the money there-hence why they stay.

If the Rams and Chargers both put good/reasonable proposals and the NFL allows both teams to relocate, how does the NFL look after that? Aren't they violating their own relocation rules in that teams are only prohibited to move once they've exhausted all possibilities?

You're talking about a league that burned the tapes to "protect the league".

The problem with this is that judging a plan to be good/reasonable is subjective and varies wildly based on people's perspectives.

It would probably be fruitless since the NFL could easily afford the best lawyers but I would love to see someone take them to court over it if it happened.

Sadly the SDUT editorial has it right, if ANY team goes to LA then Deano wants to move the Chargers there

And with an instant $300-$500 million increase in value even if we are#2 in the LA market, he is not going to let that$$$ get away from him

Only way he stays in SD is if stadium deal is too good AND there is no team in LA

With Rams owner buying property and with a better location, deeper pockets and a more realistic stadium plan, it's the Rams all the way to LA unless the NFL blocks him

And NFL owners feel sorry for and loyal to Deano so he will be allowed to be team #2

I disagree. Feelings won't matter, money does and the Chargers aren't a money maker in LA. The Raiders make more sense than the Chargers but a open slot in LA is most valuable of all. They can keep the threat of moving to LA for any team that needs a new stadium in the future. And if a stadium is already there ready to go, it will be a real threat, not these half baked Carson-like threats.

Rams go to LA, Chargers stay in SD and who cares about the Raiders.
