I assumed the clock was stopped until the ball went live again? You know, when it got snapped?

Before the 5 min mark in each half, the clock rolls as soon as the ball is ready for play if the clock is stopped for out of bounds, or penalty, IIRC, but not sure on incompletions. At the 2 min mark, the clock doesn't start until the snap.
