I have been sad all day. Philip's retirement has really affected me. Those three should have won a SB.

looking back at Rivers career and his antics...I'm gonna miss that guy so much. Sure he was terrible the last year in LA but MAN was that Oline TERRIBLE for an immobile QB. Thanks a bunch for the memories PR. REALLY wish that IDIOT mccree wouldve just fell down instead of trying to score! that was the year PR woulda gotten the ring no doubt. I hate that mccree idiot more than anyone, including eli and cutler.

I hope it is a fake retirement. Maybe he has a backdoor deal with Robert Kraft to play for the Patriots. And he faked his retirement to let the Colts owner know to look elsewhere for a qb next year.

Some team should sign Rivers to their Practice Squad - Rivers could be on zoom calls, maybe go to training camp for a week to 10 days

but he would be a good QB on stand by like McCown was last year
What about OC for the LA Chargers?

Same league as Peyton Manning....both of these guys could coach if they wanted to on the professional level.
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

I like JJ Watts story playing against PR how he correctly called the play they are about to run and told the blitzing linebacker he was lined up wrong. No wonder PR masked some of Lynn/Stitch’s deficiency calling plays and time management.

It is a sad day for me as well.. He is one of my all time favorite players. He was just so freakin competitive! For many years, he helped to keep the Chargers at least competitive.

There will be naysayers that will argue against Rivers being HOF worthy, which is absolutely ridiculous! If not for Philip Rivers toward the backend of his career, the Chargers would have been the Cleveland Browns bad. With Rivers, the Chargers always had a chance to win. It usually takes great organizations to win SBs.. Too many QBs get too much of both the credit and blame for SBs in my opinion, which certainly doesn’t tell the entire story.

Thank you for all the memories Mr. Rivers!!

100 bucks says Gunner can read a Defense right now. He's 11. Lol!! Rivers will make a heck of a high school coach. Hundreds of kids will be the beneficiary of his knowledge.

As Philip Rivers retires, I do not want to talk football accolades or debate his Hall of Fame credentials. I'd rather describe the real person that he is and how special he is behi

Great article. I laughed out loud at his daughter painting his toe nails. That's a very Dad thing to do. Many years ago when my step-daughter was about 8, she drew tattoos all over me... With Sharpies. Typical 8 year old girl things. Butterflies, unicorns, little hearts. I got up the next morning & went to the gym still covered in them. Turns out if you throw around enough weight, nobody says shit. Lol!!
