He might be used as a nickel and dime player too.
I wouldn’t expect him to keep DJ that far from the majority of plays all of the time, I’d expect Adderley to be back there and hopefully he learns to read and recognize route designs better so he can get in better positions

Its because of a lack of a better term for me.

          Yes we need a Safety.
          Gotta have three or four.
We do not play modern football.

Chargers probably will sign one if not two players post draft
all depends on what the draft brings them in terms of players. I can see the Chargers needing at least 2 OL if not 3; and 2 DBs. Hard to get them all in the draft to where they can contribute

As Sherman said , post draft teams will be "calling around for the old guys"

Jamison Hensley, the ESPN Ravens blogger keeps saying the RAvens are going to sign a pass rusher - -maybe Justin Houston but post draft when comp picks are not affected.

So I can still see the Chargers - depending on how the draft shakes out - still sign a player or two post draft. Don't want to wreck those comp picks they should be getting.

Yep...including 1-2 S/CB hybrids...pick one early, one in mid rounds, one in round 6 and sign a FA or UDFA...

Might even sign one post draft as well. But I like your thought process - load up on DBs and OL

Still money out there, but a few teams are barely under the cap for now, and will have to make some future moves to fill out their rosters and sign their draft picks.

Every few years, teams go through a cycle where they don' really want to pay that much for FA, and they get kinda tight fisted. IT gets contracts under control for a lot of the mid level guys. But this year they have even more of an excuse.

There are still some big names out there, and teams will still have to make some moves if they are up against the cap. I don't think we are done yet. We will just wait to see what we need to round out the roster after the draft.

Raiders waiving Arden Key and Maurice Hurst

Gruden and Mayock - two more wasted draft picks.

Not sure if either are a fit for the Chargers but again - worth a call if they are. Hurst seems intriguing - 25 years old, DT depth.

I liked Hurst coming out. Haven't followed him since
