i liked Hurst comin out but dont think he wowed with the turds.

I liked Hurst coming out. Haven't followed him since

when i mention signing him - my thoughts are

1) veteran minimum, no real guarantees
2) at 25 years old -- not much older than a draft pick this year or UDFA type

low risk flier if there is a system fit

Anybody that doesn't succeed with the Raiders under Chucky in this v 2.0 of Chucky with the Raiders might not be a bad player. Might be bad scouting and coaching

Gruden and Mayock - two more wasted draft picks.

Not sure if either are a fit for the Chargers but again - worth a call if they are. Hurst seems intriguing - 25 years old, DT depth.

He was my #7 overall prospect.
He has some type of heart condition. That is what caused his dramatic fall to the 5th round.

I haven’t followed him all that closely but the few games I’ve reviewed he played very well.

He has had his moments but not consistantly. Maybe our staff can get more out of him.

If we need another IDL after the draft, he’d be an inexpensive vet signee.

Hurst had a good/solid rookie season with the Raiders. What happened?

I remembered some scouts were outraged that the Raiders drafted him: so serious was his medical condition.
