The idea behind a 34 D is that the DL TAKES ON blockers, and then the faster guys behind can run in and make the play. If the DL is going to leave big gapping holes in the middle of the line, not force the RB to bounce it outside, then the rest of the scheme is wasted. Everyone has to do their job, or it won't work. Today it didn't do so well, mostly because the DL was just not very good. THey aren't the only ones to make mistakes, but they made a lot of them.

I wanted to see the tree trunk dude next to Linval and Covington up front. Would've been harder to run against.

At his position he should be the leading tackler on the team. Manti T’eo used to have the most tackles too. Impact plays? Zero. Missed tackles, several. 1 tackle for loss tells the story

Yeah overall, Murray wasn't that good last week.

Fixing up mechanics and technique in run defense

I find it interesting that Staley has not had a press conference on Monday after reviewing the film like he did after week one...... I guess he saw enough stupid and ugly on the film that there was no more use going over it in public.... need to focus 100% on KC and fixing those issues from Sunday....

He does have them, but for some reason Chargers.com is not putting them up. Instead we get bullet points from the reporters who attended. Same thing happened after the washington game. Not sure why
