The missing ingredient. From an Atlanta Hawk. And I hope this is what Staley brings. Because Lynn never brought it. Or McLoser.
“I’m telling you that in the NBA, there are so many talented teams, but it’s hard to find that groove to play together,” Bogdan Bogdanovic said. “I feel like when you want it so bad and have a lot of guys like that, you know how much work you’re putting in, you want to sacrifice when you’re winning. Everyone wants to sacrifice and everyone wants to be a part of a team like that.
“We just don’t give up, honestly. The whole year, we had so many crazy games. We’ve never given up. That’s what I can see on this team. Every single person here is the ultimate competitor, and I think that’s what drives us to that next level. If you have so many competitive guys, you’re going to push each other to play better, even if you think you’re good, you always need to play better. That’s what I see. It’s that competitiveness inside the locker room.”Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Jobs weren’t won or lost in spring practices, but they did provide optimism around certain players.
ESPN’s Shelley Smith listed the “surprise standout” for Chargers minicamp, and it was wide receiver Tyron Johnson who caught the attention.T-Billy,” as he is known at the facility, is a legit 4.3 guy who made the most of his 20 receptions last year for 398 yards. He is really fun to watch running routes. In minicamp, he was a blur, and coaches talked him up big-time. He’s a qualified third receiver (behind Mike Williams and Keenan Allen) and should open things up for Justin Herbert.
In 12 games last season, Johnson amassed 20 receptions for 398 yards (19.9 yards per reception) and three touchdowns, with zero drops. Four of his first five receptions in the NFL went for 50 yards or more.
Heading into the 2021 season, Johnson will be a part of a position group that returns Jalen Guyton, who had 28 catches for 511 yards and three scores last year, along with the addition of Josh Palmer, the team’s third-round selection.
I believe Johnson has the leg up on Guyton because his hands are more superior and he’s a better route-runner, and he simply has more experience than Palmer. Therefore, that could lead to him earning the No. 3 spot.
The job will be won in training camp, which starts next month

I had no idea you were not a Guyton fan.
Seriously, if someone is better than him, they will beat him out. Practices and game video do not lie. He played a lot last year for a reason.

I'd personally like to see Guyton given a legit opportunity to show he can decrease his drops significantly. He certainly managed to get open, often deep.

I’d like to see drop rates listed by yards downfield. Certainly making an over the shoulder catch 50 yards downfield is much more difficult than catching an 8 yarder over the middle. A higher drop rate may be more acceptable for the long bombs. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
