Justin Jackson on the reserve COVID list. Wonder if he's vaccinated. My biggest concern for the Bolts heading into TC is who is and who is not vaccinated, and if players refusing to get vaccinated are going to cost the team bigly.

I would guess he is already vaccinated.
Probably Asymptomatic but all being tested today.
If so he’ll test negative in a few days.

Where was that? Jeff Miller @LAT tweeted 5 days ago the Chargers are one of the least vaxxed. But guilty as charged on Twitter said the team is 90 percent vaxxed, citing Miller at the LAT, and I can't find where Miller said that.

Other than Bosa, Chargers have been really good about signing draft picks the last 5-7 years. This offset stuff seems simple enough, but I guess I don't know enough about it or I would see the big deal. Don't know what the Chargers are afraid of (cap hit for a bust?) but I do see what the player would be upset about. Wish NFL would just fix this and standardize it for all players like they did with the slotting. It seems to be the only hangup in recent history for teams and draft picks. Again seems like there is a simple solution.

I did find out that only the Rams and Jags have no offset language in their contracts. Every other team does.

Hypothetical situation: A team gives a rookie player a four-year, $20 million, fully guaranteed deal that pays him $5 million each season. If the team releases him after Year 3, it still owes him $5 million. Now say the player signs a one-year, $3 million guaranteed contract with a new team.

If there is offset language, the player won’t collect additional money unless his new contract pays him more than his already-guaranteed previous money. The old team would pay the hypothetical player $2 million ($5 million guaranteed minus $3 million from the new team), while the new team would pay him $3 million.

If there is no offset language in the player’s contract, he collects both the $5 million from his old team and $3 million from his new team, netting him $8 million total. He double-dips.
