    Sadly, you are correct.

Onwuzurike will also be gone before our 2nd.

Maybe switch Tryon with Elerson Smith
(who balled out today), and Onwuzurike with Tufele?

    1. Rashawn Slater
    2. Jay Tufele
    3a. Elijah Molden
    3b. Elerson Smith
    4. Keith Taylor
    5. Quinn ‘majestic wook’ Meinerz
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Then we just need to add Quinn Meinerz who’s a OG/OC/Sasquatch/FUEL TANK SLINGING living folk hero.

If all that happens Roger Goodell should just hand us the Lombardi trophy right now.
      There...fixed it for 'ya!

That show Meinerz put on is gonna dazzle some teams...especially without a combine. He doesn't make it out of the fourth round, my guess.

I can see you are playing that age old favorite..."Super Bowl in one Draft"! Well...if your gonna play, let's play. Lotta defense there...not enough oline...hate to hypothesize trades, but we need one here. Trade back, pick up another 2. In dropping down in the first, you will either still be able to get Slater, who's Tweener status and year layoff could work in our favor...or you get AVT. Then spend the 2nd you pick up on another OT...Eich, Cosmi, etc...some second tier OT will be there. If Slater/AVT win the LT job in camp, the other guy is backing up Bulaga(and probably playing soon...) Otherwise, our first rounder is playing left guard, and the 2nd rounder is competing with Tevi for starter vs backup.
        Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Tough to say. DJ doesnt think so. Theres the rub...are you willing to take that chance if he is high on your board?

These Simulators imo arent a real gauge of anything. Every draft sight is so different as well. I know many here like TDN.......its ok i guess it is also very different from others like CBS. Like you , i dont see why Darrisaw is so high on all the boards. He can be coached up for sure i guess but i see many others better getting to the second level.

I got Tryon in the 4th round from my last sim on TDN and i dont see any way that happens in the real draft. Compare that Sim to Jeremiahs mock.

I wouldnt take too much from performances from the Senior bowl. Its good to see some players that maybe you werent too familiar with and some small school guys play well but ive seen players ball out in that game and do nothing in the NFL.

O'Brien Schofield is a prime example. He was all over the field on game day (2010) and didnt pan out. He had a couple of fair seasons(4th round pick). Still 33 years old and his last season was 2016. Bottom line is go back to the tape on those that shined to get a better look.

DT Matt Ioannidis is another one who balled in that game and practice and hasnt done much in the NFL. He was a 5th round pick.

Smith did look good in that game early as i pointed out but he has 1 career sack and didnt play this season. Late rounder or UDFA perhaps. He is a go back to the tape guy but he will be an Edge rusher with his slim frame. Could be a good pick late but i wouldnt use a 3rd on him.

I believe those ESPN numbers are incorrect. For some reason they only include the Iowa State game defensive stats -- a game in which he recorded 1 SCK, 2 TFL, 2 QB HUR.
When you look at ESPN's box scores from the other games you'll see what I mean.

Draftscout.com has the following numbers for Smith at NIU:
                2019 (15 games): 21.5 TFL, 14 SCK, 4 PBU, 14 QBH, 5 FF, 2 BLK
                2018 (13 games): 10.5 TFL, 7.5 SCK, 2 PBU, 2 QBH, 1 FF
                2017: No game action
                2016: Redshirt

Yes ESPN stats are wrong which was surprising. I was thinking for a year off he sure did pretty well. Ive never seen the guy play except in the Senior bowl. More productive on his real stats .
Still think he is likely a lower round prospect from what im reading. Sure wish we had a combine but i guess prodays will have to do. im reading his explosion isnt great but id have to find some video of him. Looking at a few projections, he looks like a 5-6 round guy.

Just not sure im willing to add him to the 3rd round. I'll take a much closer look some time today.

If Slater's available at #13, I'd take him without thinking twice.

But in the case he's not available at #13, I'll play the trade down game.

Here are 2 scenarios, both with QB needy teams:

                    Scenario #1:
                    WAS gets: #13 (1150 pts)
                    LAC gets: #19 (875 pts), #74 (220 pts), #114 (66 pts) = total 1161 pts

                    LAC 2021 Draft, rounds 1-4:
                    #19 (from WAS): Alijah Vera-Tucker, G/OT
                    #47: Dillon Radunz, OT
#74 (from WAS): Elijah Molden, Nickel
                    #77: Tommy Togiai, DT
                    #97: Elerson Smith, EDGE
#114 (from WAS): Benjamin St-Juste, CB
                    #117: Ben Cleveland, OG

                    Scenario #2:
                    IND gets: #13 (1150 pts)
                    LAC gets: #21 (800 pts), #54 (360 pts) = total 1160 pts

                    LAC 2021 Draft, rounds 1-4:
                    #21 (from IND): Alijah Vera-Tucker, G/OT
                    #47: Dillon Radunz, OT
#54 (from IND): Jay Tufele, DT
                    #77: Elijah Molden, Nickel
                    #97: Elerson Smith, EDGE
                    #117: Ben Cleveland, OG

                    Projected 2021 OL:
                    LT: Radunz competes with Tevi.
LG: AVT is a plug and play (he'll become the starting RT in 2022, and hedge against Bulaga's injuries in 2021).
OC: Lindsley or Blythe in FA (Feeney resigned for depth).
RG: Ben Cleveland is a plug and play (Trai Turner cut).
                    RT: Bulaga

Our quarterback is a golden god.

Not bad but I'd go Edge a lot sooner. Once again depending on what FA'cy brings us and who we lose. I'm also probably looking for a RB in there.

Here's what Elerson Smith did at the Senior Bowl:

                          24 total snaps
                          17 snaps at EDGE (3 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 QB HUR/HIT)
7 snaps at DT (didn't do much on these reps)

At edge he also drew double teams on 2 plays. I also counted 2 plays in which the OT took him out of the play with 1-on-1 blocking. But on most reps he was getting good push and collapsing the pocket.
