And what is the deal with Jay Rodgers coming over from the Bears? Was that just a false rumor from the many talking heads? Have not heard anything about him and Hill did say Giff Smith is staying more than once. Rodgers is supposed to be a great coach that doesn't want to be part of the lame duck Nagy staff next season.

Pretty sure it's Frank Smith from the Raiders...

I can't get the link to work, but if you go to Collective Sports Advisors on Twitter they work with him and Staley and posted his role as Offensive Line coach and run game coordinator.

That's because the Steelers were throwing a ton of short passes to keep Ben Roethlisberger healthy.

When you're 38 and injury prone, that's not an indictment of the o-line. Just a change in offensive strategy.

With new coaches and added talent it 's reasonable to assume that LAC's OL will be avg or better. One or more current OL holdovers should perform better in an upgraded OL.. I'm thinking maybe LT- D1, LG-D2, C- Feeney, RG- Groy, RT- Tevi.

So as it turns out, I work with someone who played OL for Kent State when Sarett was there. He told me Shaun was a great teammate, very smart, knew the position and the Xs and Os really well. Not a great player and was mostly a backup in college. He comes from a very poor background. Good family but lived in the hills of West Virginia, with dirt floors and outhouse, etc. James Harrison (also of Kent State) big advocate for Sarrett and helped him get jobs with Pitt Univ and also the Steelers. Sounds like a solid guy and I am real happy for him. But big culture shock going from western PA/West Virginia to LA.

He learned balance, sand in the pants, and foot placement at the age of 2. O-line better cancel their manicures.

By the end of TC... i can already imagine Feeney wearing a cowboy hat with long hair and a straw in his mouth.
