I've heard speculation that it is his shoulder, but that doesn't explain the lack of hustle, awareness, and mental mistakes.

Telesco and Co have proven that they will eat someone's salary (Gaither, Cox, Meachump), if that player is not worth what he is being paid. In the 5 games I've watched, Butler has NOT been a difference maker. If the trend continues - and it appears to have gotten even worse, if anything, based on the comments - then it wouldn't be a shock if Butler was cut loose after this season.
