    Dude has the narrowest lil shoulders. I’m the same height (5’10) and my wingspan is 3” more than his.

      Bummer. This might be scary to some GMs.

          Might be worth a 3rd if he drops that far and do an NFL "Redshirt" on him.

            Could see an Antonio Cromartie-esqe tumble in the draft. Dang, I like Surtain as a second option to Slater at #13, but now it looks like he’s cemented the CB1 spot.

              Horn now #2 CB for me as they were all real close imo anyways. But that procedure dont sound awful, just that its for a herniated disk which they just cut it off and toss it away lol, so he has less disk. Could only be a little bit though to relieve pressure.

              Trying to be possitive as im not Dr but ill take the healhier guys.

                I have a neurologist friend who says the procedure is no big deal. But once you’ve herniated one disc, it’s more likely that it happens again.

                  None of you pickers of nits are scaring me off Asante Samuel, Jr.

                  Job #1 is to actually cover somebody, and this guy has elite change of direction.

                  Jordan Reid at The Draft Network calls Asante Samuel, Jr the best tackler in this Corner class.

                  Mike Renner has concerns about tackling on wide wides, but says Samuel can hold up just fine on the outside.

                  Every CB you can mention has at least some negative aspects.

                  Samuel is at about #38 overall, ahead of Ar'Darius Washington, or Elijah Molden...all three must be in play for LAC, if we desire DBs who can make plays outside of ST as rookies.
                  We do not play modern football.

                    If you want to slather over the poor man’s defensive incarnation of Devonta Smith, that’s your prerogative. But there are plenty of equally skilled, more NFL ready/durable corners with better tape and metrics in this draft.

                      It is your prerogative to label the Chargers chatting up Samuel as "smoke screen."

                      I believe we will draft one of Samuel, Molden or Ar'Darius, as well as a Combo DB.

                        Aren’t Ar’Darius and Molden already combo DBs? Both lined up at safety and nickel. And Asante feels like his best use is also nickel.

                        I’d like a prototypical field corner since Davis excels at boundary corner.

                          My definition of Combo DB would be one with more universal traits.
                          Slot, Free, Strong, Boundary and Field.

                          ArDarius = Slot & Free.
                          Molden = Slot & Free.
                          Samuel = Slot & Field.

                          "Field Corner." Excellent usage of terminology on your part. :biggrin:

                          It was sounding like you were vibing like gusD. Only Corners with length need apply. Staley likes his "Robbers."

                          BTW we "smoke screened" with Samuel twice. It's gettin' pretty thick. :lol:
