That Jeff Miller guy went pretty hard at him today too, stating that his defense is 20th in DVOA and underperforming by giving up big plays in rushing and elsewhere, and asking what he would do to change that. I didn't like Staley's answer there.

He doesn't even think he was outcoached by Pederson in the 2nd half.

I think the problem is he’s trying to explain how it’s more complicated than just getting a speed guy, and it comes off as jargon to someone like you. But it makes sense to others what he’s trying to say.

Also draft mocks have a TE being drafted by us in the first round.

I'm still not sure if a TE is our biggest need, but Michael Mayer would be a great addition to our offense.

In what week 3? No time to find a replacement like other teams do?

Was or will Guyton be a top level speed receiver in the NFL or is he just a guy? One who drops too many passes?

Oh I get what Staley is trying to say, and I do appreciate he is one coach who will discuss schematics and give more info in pressers than most NFL coaches.

The talk js gets a little tiring when we contunually watch him and his staff get outcoached in the games though. Cant remember a staff more brutal with in game adjustments both making them and coping with other teams adjustments. We saw it as recently as last game. And it wasnt just Lombardi's offence. Staley's defence could not cope with the adjustments that Pederson made at half time.

From what I have seen - really good player. I thought Brock Bowers was better - but he is not draft eligible. I can see Telesco salivating over that guy already.
