And who would move into that facility if the Chargers were kicked out? The Aztecs? The Xolos? Maybe it eventually gets sold off to a corporate developer to make more of those mc-offices, or self storage, but the city won't turn away revenue just to spite the team. They'll probably boost the rent, if it isn't under a long term lease, and the Chargers beef up security at the fortress to fend off the angry villagers.

Could easily sell it to some developer. As well they should if they leave. Carson has many fine training facilities, in fact, the Chargers have experience training there anyway.

Absolutely no surprise. The Chargers are going to have a very low-key draft, IMO. Might see 2nd-tier OT and OLB taken in 1st-2nd rounds...with their own picks (#17, #48). Certainly nothing to excite the typical fan.

If we did trade Rivers,a nd were able to keep the #17 pick and still pick up Gurley or Gordon... the Mariota/Gurley or Gordon backfield would be really fun to watch.

Mariota would likely not see a full season playing a read option game in the NFL. I think you can pick your spots with it as a change of pace, but everyone is faster and bigger in the pros. His slight frame would not take the pounding, and that is the main reason that offense is not widely adopted in the NFL..IMO.
