I do have bad news, I had reported we were doomed due to the loss of Tbilly. But afterwards, I learned that Staley might devise a game plan around this gaping hole in the far end of the bench. So we’re gonna be fine, and WFT is therefore … doomed. Sorry bro. We did enjoy you stopping by to visit, but WFT is not up to snuff to compete with the mighty LAC. They’re just not.
Well I beg to differ my friend,my WFT has received more respect going into the season this year since the great Joe Jackson Gibbs first go around.
There is a reason for the hype with the WFT I suggest my friend you start watch the sport shows on TV and websites, you will be enlighten and then you will realize your bolts are in for a fight...Just sayin!!!

WFT gets “respect” of being the best team in the worst division of the NFL. congrats on that. East coast national broadcasters over-cover the teams from DC, NYC, and Dallas - news at 11!!!

I didn’t say WFT wouldn’t fight. I said they won’t win. The best team in that shitty division is always over-hyped by national media that just happen to live in NYC and DC. Every year its the same, and that the same media over-coverage doesn’t mean dick to the rest of America as we’ve seen that for 3 decades.

Its just like how a storm in NYC and DC is national news. National networks are oblivious to the fact we all have storms. Well, not San Diego, but the rest do

Lol. God fear the 7.5 sack beast.

Washington's pass rushers vs. our re-vamped OL will be worth watching. But with Lombardi as the new OC, the real matchup worth watching is Washington's LB's vs our RB's out of the backfield in pass coverage.

My hope is, now that we have OT's that can pass block, that we get everyone into the pattern on offense. We have weapons... we always have. KA, MW, and rookie Palmer working the short/intermediate routes. Cook hitting the seam. Eke and Kelly getting into the flats. Washington has a very good defense... but I see mismatches we can exploit. Quicker patterns, more targets and better OT protection should limit Washington's pass rushers.
            Protect the QB
            Run the ball
            Play great defense

Bosa doesn't have a ton of sacks either - it isn't just about sacks.

Critty posted parts of an article (on another thread) that suggests that officials were letting a lot of holding calls go un-flagged last year. Maybe that was the reason for fewer sacks last year.

To your point: "it isn't just about sacks"... I totally agree. If you have a DE that can play the run well, too... it frees up other defenders to do other things. I'm really excited to see what Staley can dial up with our defenders. We have a lot of talent on defense that wasn't being utilized.

We are aware of those guys. If we still had Rivers at QB id be a lot more worried since he was very immobile.

Getting a hand on Herbert is definitely a tough task, but we just dont have edge rushers are DT's collapses the pocket consistently well...

We know where your last 4 - 1st round picks were spent.

Football is a 3 phase game.
ST will be a critical factor.
Who controls the LOS? Who’s more physical?
Big time playmakers need to make big plays.
Turnovers are the most telling stat in football.
As always the QB position decides most games.

We re-built our IOL through FA. I think your DL is awesome... but can your DB's cover Keenan's precise routes...? Can your LB's cover RB's and TE's in the flats/seams...?
