WFT vs Bolts Pre Game Discussion

When I read this my mind was flooded with “Stay on target!”

Fitzgerald is the big unknown.

About half the time, he plays well enough to be considered among the best QB in football.

The rest of the time, he is a sub-par starter, who turns the ball over a lot.

It's hard to know how quickly he has picked up the offense and how in synch is he with his receivers. Usually, Fitz's best games are early in the season, but that is usually with him coming back to the same team. so you just don't know.

Washington DL can give the best OL problems. Young and Sweat are potentially big problems, but they are 2 deep at both DT spots, and they rotate enough to keep people fresh. The rest of their D has good, but not necessarily scary players.

Their OL was not too bad last year, so a lot will depend on how well their OT, who have been in flux, play. We have some good talent at DL, but while the guys we have were good draft picks only Bosa plays like it .Their guys are achievers or overachiever types, so you have to give the WFT the edge. Our DL is bigger than the Rams DL last year, where none of their guys was all that big.

Jones appears to have found a new gear in Staley's D. Staley has sounded excited about Tillery. Joseph sounds very confident.that this isn't same old, same old on DL. Covington, Fackrell, Nwosu have looked better than expected.

Point being, this is the 1st year in this D. Staley's schemes had a significant effect with Rams. It's fair to expect a step up from the recent past with our guys.

Just as long on 3rd and 15 - especially past midfield, Staley doesn't play prevent to allow the team a screen or short pass with some RAC to get in FG range. Gus Bradley -- bend bend give up yards and hope the QB throws a bad pass defense.

Yeah, it's just an idea until it happens.
I give it some probability based on Bradley's simple base D vs something more adventurous. That and Jones & Tillery entering their 3rd & 4th years. I think they're ready to go off.

It's getting closer to gameday for Bolts at WFT can't wait...I'm also looking forward to the cowboys at bucs game on thursday,I love seeing the cowboys get there butts kicked and a butt kicking is surely instore...lol
