I can definitely see a mix of both inside and outside Linebacker for Butler. Maybe it's just me but I see it as a tool to revitalize his play. Or his drive to play.

The way I read it is the author is contemplating the snaps at OLB, not Pags. IMO that would be a severe downgrade at OLB. He needs to step up his play at his natural position, or get comfortable in a part time role, not find ways to get him on the field if he loses snaps to the Rook.

I can see the outside chance that 2014 was a fluke for him inside and he bounces back. But at OLB I think he'd be a disaster. He doesn't have the ability to set the edge at the POA, and he doesn't have the length or pass rush skills to be an asset on passing downs.
