I dont see how Ingram being 20 lbs lighter will help with injuries. It should help with his being a step late to the QB but then i worry about his run edge defense suffering from getting pushed around more. 250- 255 should be fine and still make him quicker. When Merriman was 274 as a rookie, Marty asked him to get down to 260-265.

SOme guys have been able to use the lighter quicker thing to their advantage. Others just get too light and have no power. It will be interesting to see how he does. If he and Attaochu can step things up, we are in good shape. Finally having a pass rush would help force some of the game changing plays we lack on D. Williams and Law may be able to help in that regard too, but the best chance is from Ingram and Attaochu. Down the road maybe Emmanuel can help
