    What happened?
Ball tipped by DE but he was clearly in a foward throwing motion. Went 25 yards forward for a touchback.

Just the statement negates the possibility. A 25 yard fumble.

you may recall against TB last season Herbert threw 2 TD bombs
You can actually beat a team like a TB over the top more because they blitz so much. A team with a DL like the WFT is harder to do it against. Both because they can play more people in coverage and because they’re harder to run on, which means less PA bombs.

Good to win but beating a Washington team led by Tyler Heneiche isn’t that inspiring.

Nassir Adderly does not impress at all. He had an INT go right through his hands giving up a huge play to Washington. Then he got flat out embarrassed on a super basic route where he gave up the TD.

I couldn’t believe it when Telesco passed on Juan Thornhill for Adderly and it’s still mind blowing.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

          - 69-74 record
          - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
          - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
          - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
          - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
          - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
          - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

            Thank you dmac and equivocation.
Sounds like something I should replay for myself.

We won a tough game on the road in an early game against a playoff team and the amount of bitching after the win is kind of astonishing. Gotta love the internet…

It has nothing to do with 'tenure'.

I'd like to see him come hard at people during a losing strength. That would take big brass balls.

Fumble or not, the team froze, allowing the WFT to pick up the ball in the endzone. Just can't stop on a flutter ball, ever. Still a stupid call by the referee on the 'open hand' rule.

They actually did not pick up the ball either, it rolled through the back of the end zone

                      Edit:
                      Okay, just watched it.
How do they justify the ball travelling so far in the air forward if Herbert's arm wasn't moving forward????
There'll need to be some serious apologies from New York tomorrow.
                      What a rotten call.

There were 2 other times balls hit the ground that were possible fumbles, but no Chargers covered them up.... they just watched..... but WFT ran after them......
