    Gotta tackle better.

Still, we have the #4 D and #1 pass D so far. There's no perfect on D anymore. Offenses are too good.

Also, we can't ignore the 6 stuffs. A stuff creates a leverage situation for the D. It can only takes one negative play to end a drive with our D philosophy.

This team has played 1 game. Allowing 1 run of 27 yards is typical of that game.

I think you're referring to past Chargers teams and your suspicion that nothing has changed. May be but so far, it's a pretty small sample size.

Personally, the only stat I'm concerned with is W - L but let's review chunk run plays allowed at the wk 7 Bye.

Gibson averaged 4.7 last year so we held him below his career average.

Only concerns for me are JJones ( why if it was just cramps? ) and Nas.

But it was an anomaly. He didnt get another run > 6 yards. That is the definition of anomaly.

WFT had 320 passing yards today, 2.5x higher than they had vs us.

I'll give up some runs to stop that.

If you want to look at real concerns, I'd focus on Heinicke averaging 8.1 per attempt. Passing efficiency correlates to winning or losing way more than anything in the rushing game.

There truly are PhDs out there, paid the big bucks to study this stuff...and they say this over and over again.

Yup. Savvy coaches have learned to trick, to bait teams into running the ball. It's overwhelmingly less productive.

Any coach who falls in love with running the ball because his team is gaining 4.5 yards ave...is going to work himself out of a job. That's fool's gold. Most pass offenses yield 6.7 yards a pass attempt or better.

They put up 30 points vs NYG. We gave them 16 in their back yard and time zone.

The whole media is talking about a 30+ to 30+ shootout between LAC and DAL. Don't be surprised if DAL only scores 24.

Dr. Chao worries about calfs more than hammies.

This is due to unpredictability on recovery and an even greater tendency to linger.
