Also, anyone who wants to have a QUARTER of your career win-loss record come against Herbert and Mahomes, please raise your hand.

I can see Staley's hiring changing how HC hiring is done generally.
Huge emphasis on analytics and people skills
However, more coaches like Staley would be great for the sport.

How many actually believe that both teams wont finish below the Chiefs by year end (probably 10 games in)? Reality is hitting them pretty hard about now and they play eachother this week for basement rights. Golly I love watching this shitshow of the Raiders and Donkies…its popcorn time!

It's interesting how when someone who revolutionizes the game its always the next so in so. When Magic Johnson was playing for the Lakers people were saying the new trend was 6' 9" point guards who can pass and shoot. Well turns out there are very few if a y that could do what Magic did at his size. It will be the same with Staley.

That's more important than than the method to winning games. However, if Mayock is truely given a chance to pick his own coach, that trope might be broken to find a good coach first, with or without those analytics. Mayock and Davis can interview anyone they want now, not currently coaching in the league, but I think they will be very comfortable with Bisaccia if he wins games (but still will have to interview a minority coach.)
My early prediction is Eric Bienemy
for both obvious and not so obvious reasons.G-Ro knows.

Looking at the Raiders job…
The good:
1. Strong fan base
2. Great new stadium
3. Vegas will be a free agent destination
4. They have some decent young talent
The bad:
1. Mahomes and Herbert…and they both have strong head coaches.
2. See point #1.
Just look at the coaches of the teams in same division as Brady and Rodgers over the last 15-20 years. Someone will take the job, because it’s an NFL head coaching position. Just look at David Culley. But a good candidate with options is probably gonna choose a situation where the competition in his division isn’t so brutal.
