I was looking at the wrong side.
Wow! I thought it initially was a linebacker getting overpowered.
Zack Martin couldn't even find anyone to block - it was that bad for the entire line.

Yes they did but Tillery got flatbacked against their OT3.
Jerry has been a complete liability in the run game.
He is a situational interior passrusher and nothing more.

Joseph mostly held his own on the double that included Zac Martin. RB went straight through where Tillery was supposed to be.

Jerry is the only 1st round pick that I thought the prospect wasn’t a top 50 prospect. Had him at #90ish

Tillery being a first road pick reaffirms that Telesco and his staff constantly make mistakes in how they evaluate and identify NFL ready talent. You cannot miss like that in the 1st round.

But all of these comments take me back to this current draft. I understand in this last draft the Palmer pick, but the McKitty pick now looks even more silly. This team desperately needed more depth at OL and DL. Badly. McKitty was not a need nor was he BPA. A 3rd round DL or OL could really, really help this team right now. Then again, and sure I'm an armchair GM desk jockey, etc, but I don't know that Telesco would have picked the right player with that second 3rd pick.

I’m inclined to listen to what Staley said about assignment/stunt errors.
We had several TFLs/under 3 yard gains. We had several missed tackles.
New systems on both sides of the ball. We are going to have some growing pains early.

As has been repeatedly shown with evidence that TT hits on a higher rate than the majority of GMs.
Does he hit on all? No. To expect him too is a fool’s errand.
Tillery is my least favorite of his 1st rounders but TT has a monster hit rate in the first round.
The OL received 5 new players via FA/draft in 2021. 2022 will see anywhere from 2-4 more.
