The one that really got me was blowing the play dead while Herbert was stiff arming the defender away before he gets the ball of for an incompletion. A huge loss of yardage when the QB is clearly still under his own power. If you want to say it’s about the safety of the QB then you should have called roughing the passer on the 3-4 time the Cowboys defenders threw/rode Herbert to the ground AFTER he released the ball earlier in the game. If you’re going to call the game with ticky tack penalties then call it that way both sides, I’m clearly biased but I didn’t see it called evenly throughout and especially not in the biggest moments.

I hate complaining about the refs. But it is no longer inconceivable to me that a game can be called unevenly on purpose. There is just to much subjective judgment to the calls. And when the big time plays are negated by penalties that likely can be called multiple times in a game you just have to consider it. Especially when you’re playing the team with the most powerful owner in the nfl

The very least that can be said is that officials have subconscious biases.

        We know what we saw,
and have every right to point out inconsistencies,
        even when tempered by knowledge
that it is just not a good idea to go there.

Blandino was on the radio the other day,
sniveling about how officiating crews need a few weeks
        to get their shit together.
I want to slap Dean, generally speaking.
We do not play modern football.

Same. Not inconceivable that the NFL puts it's finger on the scale on purpose.

My HS wrestling coach always told us we couldn't let the match be close. Win by 5 and they can't shave points.

Here's an example of official corruption.

Ron Torbert was the vice president of the company that helped build Gillette Stadium. The company is Barton Malow
Somehow he also wound up as the head referee in a few Patriot playoff games. I think it's an example of conflict of interest.

He was the head referee in the last playoff game between the Chargers and the Patriots. There were a couple of very questionable calls in that game. They led to Patriot touchdowns. He was seen hugging and holding Tom Brady before the game. It was on TV while the Chargers were warming up.

It's hard to win a game when the referees have decided on who the chosen ones before the game starts.

              Right.

The funny thing is if you talk to Pats fans (and I have to where I live), they think the NFL (and Goodell) has it out for them.

I just roll my eyes and bite my tongue.

The only thing I can think of is I guess the ball is snapped slightly before the man in motion gets set. But it’s super close and something that rarely gets called when it’s this close. I don’t even know if that is what they were calling.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

                    - 69-74 record
                    - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
                    - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
                    - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
                    - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
                    - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
                    - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Williams reset his feet. That was it.

They said 81 and 84 but 84 was off the field.

Give me one that lead directly to a touchdown. Find the no call that gave us a touchdown. I’m giving you actual examples and your giving me platitudes.

If I had all the examples of cheating they’ve gotten away with and the trophies then I should be told to shut it.
