Got to have some faith. I very optimistic for this year with a new regime I think Telesco.FINALLY got it right.
It looked the worst that it’s been this entire season. They got it together after that but make no mistake, it was awful in the 1st QTR. And the defense looked way better. Definitely still stand by that.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

With consecutive wins over the defending AFC champion Chiefs and the previously undefeated Raiders, the Chargers could be the class of the AFC West.
Can Los Angeles Chargers be considered AFC West favorites after beating Raiders?
"Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who arguably has worked his way into the MVP conversation, drove his team 58 yards on 10 plays for what would be the game clinching touchdown, an 11-yard touchdown run by Austin Ekeler with 5:20 left."
"They decided to go for it. Herbert launched a 13-year old pass to Jared Cook, who jumped over former Charger Denzel Perryman to haul in the pass." (A failure to edit and in a hurry to publish it.)
"The Raiders tried to limit Keenan Allen and Mike Williams but the Chargers tight ends stepped up in their place."

Observations........Herbie was a bit off after a few of those big hits (blown assignments). KA had a very untypical set of the dropsies. Watching Ek tonight was just fun to do. I don't miss Hunter Henry......do you??? Nice to see guys like Tillery, Covington and Graziano make some good/great plays. Adderly is night and day different with Derwin as his on field mentor. Storm did very well in holding off Crosby most of the night. Right now Linsley gets my vote for offensive MVP because without him our line would be SO different.
We are atop the AFC West with 2 division wins under our belt. Life is good......bring on the Browns.
Tranqs seems to be a missing link to Staley's defensive cog.
Bosa doesn't need to do everything now. He can take a breather and we got other people making splash plays (Fackrell with the pass bat down and a sack, Tillery and Covington with sacks)......then Bosa comes back in to dominate.
Adderly and Campbell are out there enforcing hits on Raider receivers.
Forrest Merrill is a bully and helping LBs feast. 40 yards rushing by the Raiders lol.

Herbert credits the defense for the win.

Great win and the Chargers are only playing at about 75-80% of their potential. Herbert wasn't at his best, and his overthrowing Williams in the first half may have been his worst pass of the season. The defense sagged in the third quarter, although Tillery going out may have been part of that (and can you even imagine saying that before this season?). Slater and Feiler had at least two mix-ups leading to unblocked rushers getting to Herbert almost immediately. It was curious that the Chargers didn't test the Raiders' back-up cornerbacks more. And I thought Viz had the leg for consistent touchbacks on kickoffs.
But after all the disappointments of the McCoy and Lynn years, it is just thrilling to see a head coach making this team better before our very eyes. The challenge of the spot on that Raiders' third-down play was just brilliant. Adderley and Tillery are turning into players as we watch. Rushing defense was much improved. Motion penalties were eliminated.
Just wow.

Hopefully Staley will be another one. He’s well on his way, that’s for sure.

Raiders had scored 2 TD's to start 2nd half, to make game a one score game..... and Raiders had momentum.... yet Staley got the team re-focussed and they had a long drive to score again and put game away......
Staley has some magic...... this is clearly not Any chargers team of the past....
