I've been thinking about this a lot. My initial reaction was a hell no, but...I'm not sure if I can just stop following the team I have been rooting for since I was a little kid...
I sure won't go to any games, but I just don't know if I can not cheer for them (as I sit here in a Charger polo shirt drinking tea out of a Charger mug looking at the Charger calendar on the wall of my office at work).

I suspect I will cheer and pull for the players that may be there for the next few years (reading box scores and catching some games on tv). I've been a Season Ticket holder for 30 years and purchased my fair share of merchandise - I won't spend a penny on them anymore...
Perhaps, I will come back as a fan after (if) the Spanos divest themselves of ownership. I will not put another cent in the Spanos' pockets if they move the team to Los Angeles.

I think that I would but I just don't know. If they re-brand than there is no way.
Even if I am still a fan it just won't be the same.
I have always had the opinion that you don't pick the team you are a fan of and I became a Charger fan because they were San Diego's team. I don't understand SD natives that pick other teams to root for or people who are fans of teams just because.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

We could have had a stadium years ago if the politicians had gotten off their asses. That's a politician for you, don't do shit until it's too late, and then make sure you take a little extra time beyond that just to show people you're trying. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I'll be a fan, mostly of the players that are on the team, but they will be like the Lakers and the Kings... I'm a fan of those teams, but won't be tuning in on a daily basis to what they are doing, and only watch if they are competitive, and it won't be must watch TV anymore. Definitely won't be going to any games. I like pro football, I really can't get into college football outside my alma maters, but I can't think of another team that I could back. If they re-brand to something else, I definitely won't follow them... I actually would be ok with So Cal Chargers, not so much as the LA Chargers. Dean and Fabs could go and rot in hell with Art Model, Irsay, Bidwell, Al Davis and the bitch golddigger, for all I care.
