Fuck. If I am completely honest with myself, I guess I will still be a fan. It wont be like it was, but I know I wont be able to stay away. Really fucking pissed off, tho.

There was some talk on local sports radio where Raider fans were actually calling us out. They follow there team LA Oakland whatever and wherever. The majority of Charger fans I would say do follow the team based on geography....we have San Diego pride and an LA inferiority complex and celebrate the Chargers and Padres as our own. Our deepest desire is a major sports championship for our city. Since we are a transplant city a large percentage of our population can give a flip about the Chargers and then there is a large percentage who don't give a rip about sports at all.
If they move they will still be the closest thing to San Diegos team.
I now feel the recurring nightmare I have had of the Chargers being in and winning the Superbowl while I was late or missing the game was a premonition.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

I've been asked this question a bunch of times by friends. I just do not see myself as a fan of any Los Angeles team. After spending too much of my life listening to asshole Dodger fans, asshole Raider fans, and the biggest front runners in sports: Laker fans, I just have a general dislike for Los Angeles teams. So if the San Diego Chargers no longer exist, I will probably just root for whatever players I have in fantasy football with no team allegiance. Or, I will pick a new team. It will have to be a team that has never won the Super Bowl, because I don't want to glom on to someone else's championships. Maybe the Arizona Cardinals. They are somewhat close, and I spend a week in Phoenix every year and like it there.

I also casually root for the Clippers since they were in San Diego and took on a San Diego themed name and most of the asshole LA fans don't give a rip about them. I think the Chargers would be similar to the Clippers in LA but I like NFL more than basketball. I just don't see how I would have as much pride in being a bolts fan if they moved but they would still be my favorite team based on all the memories I have with them.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here
