I think the reason why i know it was un-catchable is because i missed most of the 2nd half (thank God!),
and that was the very first play i saw when i tuned in.

I was alert, and everyone else was pretty much numb from the overall ineptness of play.

The camera angle on the broadcast was somewhere behind the qb, while all the highlights have the camera somewhere in the stands.
The highlight angle makes it harder to see just what a crappy throw it was.
