Looks like Tebow may make the Eagles' roster.
    Maybe not

Source: Eagles release QB Tim Tebow
The Eagles have released Tim Tebow, ending the former Heisman Trophy winner's bid to win the No. 3 quarterback job for Chip Kelly in Philadelphia, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

All NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, but Tebow appeared to be in contention for a roster spot after Philadelphia traded Matt Barkley to the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.

Tim Tebow has not appeared in a regular-season NFL game since December 2012.

The move leaves Kelly and the Eagles with just two quarterbacks on their current roster. Tebow, 28, and Barkley had been competing for the Eagles' No. 3 quarterback job behind Sam Bradford, who has a lengthy injury history, and Mark Sanchez.

It is not clear whether Philadelphia plans to acquire another quarterback.

Although he did not start in Philadelphia's preseason finale, Tebow played well Thursday against the New York Jets, completing 11 of 17 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns.

Tebow won the 2007 Heisman Trophy and helped Florida win two national championships during his decorated college career but has not appeared in an NFL regular-season game since December 2012.

If he was younger and was willing to convert to play TE or HBack in like a Jim Jensen role, plus maybe be a short yardage specialist, then he might work. But he is not practice squad eligible because of the number of games he has played, so his career is basically over. Back to broadcasting college football for him.

Chargers rookie WR Tyrell Williams has been informed he made 53-man roster, source says. Javontee Herndon did not. Will be waived.

Another bold move. Sink or swim. Lambo and now Williams, I am pumped to see a coach willing to make a bold move.

I like both moves Lambo will proved to be accurate in short work sample, but the kickoffs are a big plus having teams start on there own 20 versus starting out on the 30 or better. Williams even though he did drop some, his ceiling/potential is high, and it isn't a matter of if he develops it is how fast he will develops. He came from a Western Oregon D-2, he has height 6-4 @ 208lbs he has the speed, and has shown he can get open on this level, He is ahead of where Malcolm Floyd was when he first entered the league, and I think he is a head of Vincent Jackson when he came in the league as a 2nd round pick. Williams can be the receiver that steps into replace Malcolm Floyd next year, but I think he will make a hand full of plays this year. Williams has some good mentors in Allen, Floyd, and Johnson, this is something, Floyd and Vincent Jackson didn't have to help there development.

I feel bad for Herndon I think he played well enough to make the team, but you knew Jacoby wasn't getting cut they just signed him, and to me Inman is just a guy who does what you expect a receiver to do, he isn't going to be a game changer.

Inman had some BIG catches for us last year. Game saving catches.

As for Herndon, he'll be on a team or PS somewhere. With all the young talent here, I think it will be elsewhere.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Inman hasn't been cut, so far.
