Chiefs @ Chargers Pregame Discussion (wk 15)

Will be my first game at SoFi!

I don't like our chances vs. the improved Chiefs. Beating the Chiefs at this stage would be a sizable upset IMO. I think the Chiefs will be in the Super Bowl again so losing to them won't sting so much for me. We'll see what happens though. I was clearly wrong in my guess on what would happen today with us.

It’s funny because their offense and defense completely flipped since we last played them. That defense has been very good while the offense has been disappointing. The exceptions have been the two Raiders game. But we can definitely beat them since I think we match up well as long as we get Derwin, Keenan, and Ekeler back for this game. Though it’ll be interesting if Staley decides to let Asante play this game since he was practicing again last week.

It would also be nice if Justin Jackson decides to be his 2018 self for this game.

Their defense scares me more than their offense. I want to see our offense figure out a solid defense like the chiefs. It will say a lot for our chances down the stretch.

Herbert has performed really well in prime time games - lets hope he continues to shine on Thursday.

The Chief’s pass rush scares me a lot, especially going against the right side of our line.

Its not like they are beating good teams...but they are winning.

2. Green Bay (without Rodgers)
2. Dallas (sandwiched between home losses to Denver & Las Vegas)
3. Denver
4. Raiders (twice - after the Ruggs/Gruden fiasco)

Its always a matter of stopping Chris Jones for the Chargers.
Charger interior is much better than in the recent past.

And you know SupaMelvin is going to be fired up for this game. I hate to say it, but he's been a really good acquisition for the Chiefs. He's not done, like a lot of Chargers fans thought he was.

Really annoyed me the timing of Rodgers getting covid lol (not that it can be controlled). Charger luck would have it happen against the chiefs

I'm not sold on the Cheif's D: they haven't faced a good offense since they got pile driven by Tennessee.

Maybe Dallas, but the Cowboys had a number of injuries to the offense during that period.
