In addition to the injury to Green, sometimes teams will keep a rookie on the initial roster and cut a vet that they want to resign because the NFL rules are that a vet on the initial roster gets his salary for the whole year. That may have factored in a bit.

No because Phillips' contract will become guaranteed if he's on the roster on Saturday. I'm guessing they think they can put burwell on the PS. They better be right.

I think the only surprise could be Dzubnar activated over Perryman because Dzubnar has made more plays on special teams.

The one I'm hoping doesn't happen is Unrein being active over Philon. That would be a mistake IMO were going to need Philons pass rushing ability from inside.
