The money saved would be better spent on other areas of need.

On a side note, if Jones and White get resigned this offseason then that shows that TT isn’t completely useless with 3rds and 4ths lol.
You seem confused on the definition of overpay

I would think it means a good solid player. The players he stated had multiple games in any given season where on their merits alone brought a victorious outcome. Essentially they can take over a game and win it for the home team when on fire. My WAG!

NFL players with 4 or more years are UFA's... can't tender them.

Franchise Tag and negotiate a trade. We got no one else we would want to franchise tag so....

I was just joking but the point was that overpay and worth it are contradicting terms. If they were worth it, they didn’t overpay. They just paid.

I call Overpay = Crazy intangibles. Sort of like Reggie Jackson In October or Tom Brady when he sniffs the playoffs.

Ouch...$17 mil is kind of steep...and it could be higher...we may have to let Mike Will go...sounds like a 3rd round comp pick to me...

We can throw similar money at JC Jackson and have a true cb1
Profound trickle effect on the D.

                      ask Herbert to make do.

This is the opposite of what I've been preaching but seeing how close the money is, makes me think a bit.

17 mil is not steep by today's standards. Allen gets 20. And remember, all these numbers we are reading are guesses.

I have always thought the proper thing with MW81 is to not franchise, let him test the market. If the signs before free agency, great
