Well that’s why he shouldn’t be GM anymore. But since he still is, it’s all dependent on what MW’s asking price is and if he deserves it or not. For example, you overpay for a prime skill player like Gates, LT, and Keenan Allen because they’re worth it. I don’t know if you do it for a guy like MW. The money saved would be better spent on other areas of need.

On a side note, if Jones and White get resigned this offseason then that shows that TT isn’t completely useless with 3rds and 4ths lol.

I would think it means a good solid player. The players he stated had multiple games in any given season where on their merits alone brought a victorious outcome. Essentially they can take over a game and win it for the home team when on fire. My WAG!

17 mil is not steep by today's standards. Allen gets 20. And remember, all these numbers we are reading are guesses.

I like Mike, hope we get a deal done. If he turns his agent loose, maybe not. If Mike tells him to get a Chargers contract, it should happen. There's a lot of outside pressure to max out but lo-ball would be more than he'll ever need. I wish him well.
