I am kind of not kiding about 5 DL. Take a DB off the field and stop the run. Take my chances with Mariota passing the ball

Just be smart and limit mistakes. On offense, so many guys hurt - but Linsley back should be helpful. Hightower and Reed - show us what you have

Yes. Arthur Smith runs a Titan type scheme. Caleb + Cordarelle + Marcus (RPO) will be a handful.

Giving up 5.7 yards a carry to opponents is just sickening.

Yes! For the love of everything Holy, this needs to happen. Don't know why we are so stagnant when we start games, but it will continue to bite us in the ass if we do not rectify it. And yeah rush defense has been nauseating. Bad thing though is when you look at who we on that side of the ball, imo we should be way better. Yeah falls a lot on the players as they are the ones out there, but has to fall on the coaches too in stopping the run.

Come up with some different, more pro-active schemes. I get nightmares when I think what Henry will do to us next month if we don't get better in this area.

The front office seems to be guided a lot by maintaining continity on the offense for Herbert. Popper said that one reason the Chargers kept all three quarterbacks was to keep the same QB room for Herbert. I think they might take the same approach with receivers for the time being, at least for next season, for the same reason.
