Our depth sucks. We knew that. We better players on defense .and players that fit the scheme.

Cincinnati has talented players. It isn't determined by a fan voted pro bowl. Don't matter of we beat them. The Texans beat us.

You are a big homer and nothing wrong with that but we are what our record says we are.
Taylor has been a NFL HC for 3 seasons now. Staley 1

Will he? It feels like it’s an ongoing problem with him since his Philly days. He loves the pass too much at times. The Bengals adjustment basically begged Reid to run the ball instead of passing. What did he do instead? He kept passing.

What are you talking about? Stop with the Josh McDaniels nonsense since Staley is nothing like him. I think you’re just deliberately trolling at this point.

If you remember what happened in the game, we took the lead initially because we went for it on 4th downs. We also got lucky with some timely interceptions like Chase knocking a perfectly thrown ball into Michael Davis’s hand. The Bengals started to claw back into the game because our offense stalled and started making its own mistakes. Luckily there was a timely Mixon fumble that was returned for a TD. Staley’s defense actually did a solid job at stopping the run that game, and also getting pressure on Burrow without Bosa using simulated blitzes.

What kills me is the Rams depth at DT: Gaines (4rth) and Ashawn (I know, he's listed as an end) and Sebastion Joseph-Day (6th), with Bobby Brown (4rth) waiting in the wings.

Rams spend middle round picks on Oline & Dline, while Telesco spends it on linebackers.
Look at all those low round picks stepping up.

I agree w much of the above. CIN is a good example of how capable management can quickly turn around a franchise. CIN were the bungles for years. They went 2-14 in 2020. But their front office know how to use FA. They brought in Trey Hendrickson and Larry Ogunjobi and a bunch of CBs and solidified their D in one year and are going to the SB.

Telesco still hasn't figured out how to use FA in 9 years and w our shitty depth we barely had a winning season. He is sub .500 over his 9 years. How long are they going to keep on w his dismal performance?

Telesco is probably toed to Staley at this point. Rooting for Teleaco to go means rooting for Staley to go which means rooting for the Chargers to lose the next 2 years. This all seems rather mastubatory.

They beat them in that game because the Bengals faltered to the Chargers late in the game just like the Chiefs faltered to the Bengals late in the AFC championship game. Mental errors by the losing team in these games was their undoing.

Chargers are not more talented than the Bengals. Unlike LAC, CIN can actually stop the run, and the Bengals are decent on third down defense, whereas the Chargers are the worst in the league; 32nd ranked third down defense. The Bengals have better depth on their defense other than their top players. Both teams are equal on offense. The Chargers have a better O-line, while the Bengals have better receivers. The run game is equal. Comparing Staley to Mcdaniels is a joke and insult, and Zac Taylor might be like Urban Meyer if he wasn't so fortunate. Staley is better than Taylor. He's done better in his first year than he has.

It often takes coaches 3 years to get their teams coordinated and up to speed. Changing coaches is always a big decision because you're restarting the learning process.

Disagree. Why? Our offense was pretty good but we did not have a good DC running the show. We have an intern who maybe isn't ready to aggressively command the D and make on the spot adjustments. With the Margin of error so low now in this league I do not think you can wear multiple hats and be effective anymore.

To be fair, the cupboards is not bare like it was when Taylor took over for the Bengals. I expect the turnaround to hit this upcoming season if Staley is who I think he is.
