Another huge inconsistentcy in the league.... They arbitrarily decide when to do upstairs expedited reviews saving coaches potential challenges /timeouts and reversing ref calls on the field.

How do they decide in which cases this should be done? Seems it would benefit some more than others.

I thought auto reviews were only supposed to happen on scoring and turnovers

The problem is that it’s literally in the rule book that that was a dead play. If they respected the Hoculi mishap, they have to honor it for the Raiders.
