TWill, franchise for 18.8 million. It’s a bargain.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

I keep seeing shit like this and I go, what? Then realize, oh yeah, it’s the thing. That’s not real.

I believe it is. Get him for another year at less than market to see if he and Herbie get better together. It’s a huge hole in the O if TT lets him go.

Addition, not subtraction, is the way forward.

            :facepalm1:
Not sure he’ll get $30M, but he’s gonna get a massive deal if GB doesn’t franchise him. I think he probably clears the $25M per year AAV, which is a crazy number for a wide receiver.

Adams won't be coming to the Chargers now that Rodgers needs him in GB. Just glad that Mike Williams isn't going anywhere, for now, in a cap friendly deal. I think its unlikely a WR will be drafted 1st round. Chargers really need D.

              • I am now seeing that Mike Williams was just re-signed on a 3 year, $60M deal that includes $28M in the first year. If so, there goes half of our salary cap space.

He will get paid $28 million in the first year. The majority will be as a bonus. That means it will be amortized over the life of the contract. Heck, if it is a $27 million bonus and a $1 million salary, that gives a cap hit of $10 million this year.

Exactly - my guess for a cap hit was closer to 14m
                      21m up front - 7m salary
but it eassily could be yours too

and as we see with other teams - it really doesn't matter what year 2 and especially year 3 is

Mikes new contract probably deserves its own thread right ?
