Former 2nd rounder by the Titans. And yeah it looks like he broke out a little last year. I like that he can get close to 700 snaps for the Giants and play Nose.
If he's an excellent scheme fit-- and why would they sign him if he weren't?!?-- he'll be better than any of the scrub D-linemen we saw last year-- Gaziano, Merrill, and the like.

Modest though it be, it's still an upgrade.
And he is available. He did not miss games, quality and always there. Very good indeed.

Fehoko and Gaziano outplayed Joseph and Tillery down the stretch.
The guaranteed amount is what will be important here.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Yeah i think we are insanely better against the run now. But Murray will concern me. Maybe keeping him cleaner helps. Or maybe we are targeting a LB now in the 1st.
Steven Haglund @StevenIHaglund Only four interior defensive linemen in the whole league had more run stops than Austin Johnson in 2021: Aaron Donald, DJ Jones, Christian Wilkins, and Daron Payne. BIG fan of this move. Think of him as a Covington type that can play the nose or the 3tech, but obviously better.

3 monster WRs are trending in this league. Hmmmm
Murray has to play better with the DL upgrades and another year.
