With the drafting of Spiller and Horvath, plus the signings of free agents Leddie Brown and Kevin Marks, our RB room looks to be quite a bit different from last year. Looks upgraded, to say the least, depending on who gets cut. JJ is gone. Can Horvath unseat Nabors? Is he a RB, FB or both? Who gets cut? Vote for multiple choices!

Going with Kelley, Rountree, and JJ all are not back. Ideal if JJ can be on the practice squad and called up if necessary. Power running O Line is good now. Smash mouth football with a big and deep backfield is the recipe to win lower scoring games because they can't put 8 in the box against Herbie.
Salyer, Zion, and McKitty on the right side in short yardage and the D won't be able to overload either side.

agreed, hoping for some smash mouth football with Nabers blocking for Horvath out of jumbo and McKitty strong side lineupsOriginally posted by Velo View PostGabe Nabers is not a running back. He never carries the ball. He was a TE in college. He is a blocking back who occasionally runs routes out of the backfield.

I don't know if they will keep Nabers if Horvath makes the roster. My feeling is they drafted Horvath to replace Nabers because Horvath is an actual RB who can carry the ball while Nabers is not a running back and never has been. I could be wrong, I've been wrong before. I don't think there are enough roster spots available to keep them both though. I kind of see Horvath in a role similar to Kyle Juszczyk's role with the 49ers.Originally posted by Leslie Grossman View Post
