We could be wrong but he looks pretty good going in. I think Pip gets the RT job. He has some experience and it looks like his time is now.
Schofield & Norton set a low bar. Zion & Pip may start at that level but should improve rapidly.
Still it's all guess work 'till we see them in pads.

ps: I believe Norton will be improved after his 1st season as an NFL starter. I think Pipkins has more to offer.
Chargers knew what rhey were getting in Zion. He is not your typical rookie.

As for Norton, he'll do as swing tackle. We do need depth. We should also allow for the possibility that Norton will come in to TC and be improved. We never know.
I AM betting the farm on Pipkins.
      The house.
      The barn.
      The tractor.
      All 500 acres.

I don't want anyone to think I'm unhappy with the pick - I'm not. In fact, he was my number two (Kenyon Greene). But, rookies are seldom as good as Slater was in year one.

Here's hoping you get to keep that farm, Wood.

I am tempered in my enthusiasm for the OL, but at least the moves by the Telesco/Staley team are not a second thought. Zion should be good, and hopefully the RT (probably Pipkins) should be better, in experience and by help from a blue chip rookie. I just have to "see it before I believe it", but I refuse to be dejected if the moves don't work out.

I am banking on Duke Manyweather's tutoring having a similar effect here. It seems that Pipkins is getting motivated finally.

There's the Duke, some great examples like Slater, leader Linsley, the possibility of a 2nd contract and personal pride. He shouldn't want to be the weak link on an otherwise SB contender.

Very interesting that they are not at all moving Feiler. Zion--Storm or Zion--Pipkins on the right side, be damned.

CBS sees Zion at LG, Feiler at RG and Norton at RT.
                  Pip is the swing tackle.

Pipkins is going to surprise everyone and be selected to the pro bowl, but he will not be able to go since the Chargers will be going to the Super Bowl

Why take them seriously? They don't have anybody associated with this team.

I think I'd wait till what OUR staff says going forward.

I thought that LG was Zion natural position.
Feiler could help Norton or Pipskin on the right side.
                        Not completly idiot idea.

its not a bad idea but i believe Staley already said Zion is slated for RG.

Just because he played LG dont mean he cant play RG. I mean Fieler is our LG and a LG at Pittsburgh but many want him to go to RT which wasnt his natural possition even though he played there some at Pitt.

Both Fieler and Zion played LT as well in college. Though Zion only had around 170 snaps there.

As a OG if you cant play different sides you are limited.
Some saw Zion play OC for 2 series in the senior bowl and thought we would draft him as a OC replacement for Linslay in 4 more years when his contract is up lol.
