Honestly our biggest D prob was NOT db core last year it was the run game issue and minimal pass rush with only Bosa. We have demolished 3/4 of the DL and to me that is going to cause way more probs for the Duhs and Chefs.
i think ASJ, Davis and Callahan are a good starting 3. Throw in Our lil shrimp Derwin and im ok with our db core.
we have what 19 days so i expect by end of next week Jackson will be on the field practicing and will get a feel on complications. Hes a young buck,..lets keep our fingers crossed but to me this isnt as huge of a loss as it could be.
The timing is the only thing I don’t like. But I have a feeling, he will be ready. At least that’s what I’m hoping for. I’ve gone from, can’t wait until the season start, to give me one more week.
If this was something to relieve him of some pain, not because something broke, he’s suiting up.
If this was a non-invasive surgery for something he's dealt with his entire life, why wait to do it two weeks before the start of the season in the middle of camp? Why not earlier in the summer?
Apparently it was "noninvasive" to address something he was born with.
so timing is shit.
And what the hell is "noninvasive" surgery?
I consider all cutting of human flesh, "invasive"
...something he was born with?..... If that is the case then why now????..... why not months ago or years ago???
.... does doing it make him healthier or better in long run.... I hope!
Interesting that Chargers for several years have been keeping starting or key players out of pre season games to avoid injury but it has not worked...... historically, Chargers have rarely had any serious injuries during pre season games...... most of our major injuries have occured in non-contact practice..... and some in regular season games.....

agree..... but there must be more to the story than just that or it would have been done before this point or it would e=wait till after season.... you only do surgery that will cause you to miss games right before season if it was absolutely necessary.....
