There is a boatload of football left to play.
We do not play modern football.

The only conceivable reason was that it was a designed lateral to Mac Jones for an all or nothing pass. If Jones was wide open.... maybe it could have worked.

It’s almost like some of the players thought they were losing.

Post game interviews say that only a draw play was called. Nothing else.

I don't think you're allowed to throw the ball forward after it already passes the line of scrimmage correct?

I have to check that, because it looked like Jones was still behind the LOS and hadn't yet passed the ball. Still stupid though. Belichick just said it was a mistake (very understated).

Edit... you are correct. Just huge brain farts on the Pats.

If the Jags win out they win the division. The Chargers win was huge for them.

Maybe I misunderstood your question. I was thinking of the final play of the game where the Pats rb ran like 30 yards and then they started lateraling, even if Mac was still behind the LOS the ball was past it from the original running of it.

Not sure if you are referring to the Chargers win over the Titans or the Jags win over the Chargers but both are true.

I meant today's Charger win. Their win over Chargers would be equal value to all their other wins aside from the head to head win they have over the Titans.
I'm guessing 8 wins has no chance to get the 7 seed in the AFC like it does in the NFC?

Jags are pretty hot right now. Coming back to beat Dallas was impressive. Rayshawn Jenkins with the game winner. They smoked us. Do t really want to see them again
