Wow. Didn't know this, according to former Chargers doctor dr chow, Rivers had multiple rib fractures and rib cartilage injuries and injections.
Tough SOB.
Thats why he'll always be "El Capitan" in my little book.

Heard Herbert was in all the days this week just like normal and acted fine. Lifted weights, attended meetings, did throwing and from the report looked like he always does. It was in shorts and tee shirt. Also was reported that the rib cartilege injury really impacts the core so every movement he makes, even breathing can be painful. But other times he might feel no pain at all. Sort of explains how he went from tossing ball on the ground on 3rd down to a 35 yard lazer the next play?
Seems like good news so far. If he plays will definitely need a shot to block the nerves.

I would bet no - the pain didn’t disappear on the 35 yard laser TD. I’d bet that he bolted the fuck up like a boss and the one extra play he had to get used to being the boss while in pain was all he needed to be the Golden God. I doubt the pain level changed from the prior play to that one at all. Just a guess.
