Lombardi and Creativity is an oxymoron.

creativity is measured in how much the offense improves as the game progresses. The coach analyzes what he’s seeing from the defense throughout the game, identifies weaknesses and then exploits them.

The opposite is what happens with Lombardi. Offense gets worse as the opposing DC figures Lombardi’s game plan out and then shuts it down.

I get it but he doesn't have a torn ACL like Rivers did. He should if just took him out sooner. Many QBs have played with sore to cracked ribs.

the Chargers were probably the most QB-carried team in the league last year. According to SOS-adjusted EPA, they were below average in literally every facet of the game except passing offense last season. So it's not shocking to see them lose 38-10 at home vs Jacksonville when Herbert isn't right.

That's disappointing to read that.

That absolutely needs to change if we want to be a more complete team. I imagine teams like the Bills, Ravens, etc would obviously suffer if their star QBs struggled, but part of me thinks it would not be as drastic as it is with us. Already we are leaning on JH too much.

If you IR JH, we lose 4 straight games and essentially give up on the season.

Unless his right arm gets cut off, Herbert will get the big money. He shouldn’t be the least bit concerned with getting paid.

Are we really getting “Bench Herbert” when he can play from the Lamborghini guys complaining about Lombo driving a truck, or Taurus, or whatever the boring unimaginative car is they have him drive?

I’m rather have Herbert with cracked rib cartilage than having a double concussion like Tua or with a destroyed knee like Burrow.

QB is a tough job when you look at the injuries these guys take without complaint. These are life altering injuries.
