It meant it wasn't the fault of the offense that the Chargers didn't win a Lombardi with Phil.

I will say this. When Lynn was fired and Staley was hired, I was hoping Shane Steichen would be retained. I think he played a large roll in Herbert having that sensational rookie season and winning OROY. Steichen went to Philly, and he has that offense rolling with Jalen Hurts. Steichen is going to be one of the next OCs who gets a HC job, especially if the Eagles have a good season and are a top offense. If Steichen had stayed with Herbert in 2021, he may have been hired away as a HC this season.
