He and Pip will trade sides. Norton is no LT.

I mean, seriously...It was admirable the way he performed and gutted out. Clearly he was not feeling well in the beginning, and we could have gotten our asses kicked with Chase Daniel or Easton Stick starting.

38-10 is a pretty good ass kicking. Why risk your starter for this. Staley's gonna lose the locker room real quick with these types of decisions.
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

However our HC and GM again believe Pip and Storm are the real deal they had to know there was a real possibility that Pip and Storm could be our starting OT's and they were fine with this. Man we are sure saving money only spending big dollars on 1 of our OT's. sigh.
Nobody is going to trade us a quality OT for a 5th. We want a quality OT we are going to have to up the ante.
Maybe settle for a decent OT. Someone just better than Norton.

Reading Poppers takeaways and Norton gave up 9 pressures in 23 passing attempts. Just start Salyer - he could not possibly be worse than Norton.

They could have had Chase Daniels take all practice reps these last 10 days. It wouldn’t have been any worse. Instead, they trot out Herbert after having had about 2 days of field practice with the receivers. Chase would have had 10 days exclusively with the offense to prepare. Staley probably figured he had to play his superstar no matter what, on two days practice, across 10 days time.

Even hurt, he gives us the best chance to win. But nobody else around him showed up and we got our asses kicked.

My apologies, PBboy, I should avoid this forum for a few days after these kinds of games until my head is screwed on tight. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate sarcasm from real opinions around here! It's just tough to watch the talent we have around here go to waste for lack of decent coaching. This poor coaching isn't confined to Lombardi. Staley even left his franchise QB in a meaningless game because Herbert told him he wanted to keep playing. WTF??? Guys, I know it's only the third game but this team is imploding, and I fear that Staley doesn't have the backbone to get this team back on track. Of course, I will be giddy if proven wrong.

Just got done watching the lowlights. Looks to me that Herbert was drugged the first half of the game and was off a bit which led to a couple of turnovers. Add in the lackluster defense and the better offensive blocking of the Jags and we looked mediocre out there. Very flat footed and low enthusiasm.

It also seemed very odd that we didn't see Kelley until garbage time.

Have never and will never understand using a back like Ek as the #1 workhorse on running plays. There are better ways to use Ek.

Square peg, meet Lombo’s round hole.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                          Let’s win one for Mack.
