Won’t happen. GM reports to John Spanos so the GM already has to do John’s bidding.

Which is why JoJo Wooden would be the the guy, if Telesco is scapegoated.

That makes sense to me as well. Like the inexperienced HC’s, the next GM, if there is one, would likely be another newbie.

To clarify, Telesco's contract ends after this season right?
idk if that's known or speculated.

Pat Moriarty has been a respected Cap guy for years now. Maybe some combo of Moriarty/Ortiz. One takes GM the other an Exec VP of PP type roll. I like how the Ravens draft every year for the most part. I know there is more to it than just liking the players they draft etc....but i just think its such a well run org from top to bottom and id like some good experience and guys who have been exposed to the best. Huge fan of what Ozzie Newsome has done there.

My early guess is that if we are in fact moving on from TT that it may also mean Staley is out. And i think there is a huge interest from Payton for the job. Kind of think if hes the guy...he will be part of a GM hire. Maybe we go the John Lynch route and bring in a former player as GM. Like Drew Brees. And then let Brees and Payton work some magic and make this offense one of the best in the league.

Im not sitting here baning the drum or fantasizing about Payton....i just think he is incredibly interested in LA. And Herbert.

He signed a multi-year deal at the end of the 2018 season.

Mickey Loomis or Jeff Ireland could join Sean Payton in the front office. There will be compensation demanded by New Orleans, if the Chargers go this route.

Someone from the 49ers or Ravens.

Then DeMeco Ryans as head coach and Joe Brady as Offensive coordinator.

For Payton yes. They will be compensated dearly. Likely a 1st rounder....but it may come in the form of them wanting someone to take a bad contract. I keep thinking about draft pick compensation...then it makes me think they try and offload someone like Thomas.

Would you rather get a 1st rounder or find someone to take a terrible contract like Mike Thomas? Its not the compensation that would hold up Spanos...its the salary. Is Spanos prepared to spend maybe 15-20M a year on a coach?

Or maybe Payton will look take 10-12 mil.if he wants to be here bad enough.
I don't know how much he was making at NO and frankly I think 10 mil is too high for Dean.

With only two Wild Card wins and zero division championships I’d say it’s about 5-6 years too late.
