82' playoff game all over again baby!

This year is the 40th anniversary for that game!!! Amazing how time flies.

A window of opportunity is opening for the Chargers. They get the Titans at home next week. The Titans have lost three straight, scoring an average of 16 pts per game. They got blown out by the Jags 36-22 today at home. After that, their final three games are @4-8-1 Colts, v4-9 Rams (home game for both teams) and @3-9 Broncos. The Chargers' offense is almost all the way back. Bosa is supposed to start practicing this week and could play v the Titans. No matter what happens in tonight's game, if the Chargers win these final four, they have a good chance of getting in.

To me this is a pivotal MUST WIN game for the Chargers.

For Staley and the coaching staff, at least in terms of how I view all of them moving forward. In all fairness, you really should be able to see the mettle of a coach in his second year -- beyond that, if there are no fundamental and noticeable changes, you are left with an average to below average coach coaching down to the level of talent available on the roster, not in spite of or beyond who may or may not be available. To sum up in one word -- inconsistent, middling, average -- a team and coach with a .500 record or worse.

We can probably lose 1 more game and possibly make the playoffs, but winning today would really, really help us out.

Agree..... but MIA is a much better overall team and better coached..... win and its a huge surprise....and season lasts another week or 2..... lose, which is most likely.... and season is almost mathematically over....

Basic Football 101: no team deserves to be in playoffs if they cannot tackle, stop the run...... rush passer, or cover for the pass.....

Don’t agree with this as 10-7 might be enough to sneak in. But winning today is a pretty big deal. Just wish we had more players available.
